Experienced centre Dominic Waldouck joined the Falcons at the start of August 2016 on an initial month’s trial, having spent the summer playing for American side Ohio Aviators in the USA’s inaugural Pro Rugby competition, and now combines his playing role with a position as backs defence coach. Boasting more than a century of Aviva Premiership appearances, the bulk of those coming during a successful spell with Wasps, former England Saxon Waldouck then moved on to Northampton Saints and London Irish before his American sojourn. Scoring his first Premiership try for the Falcons in the away win at Gloucester in September 2016, Waldouck combined his full-time professional rugby with his Masters degree studies at Oxford University, whom he represented in the Varsity Match at Twickenham, before resuming full-time rugby with the Falcons in the summer of 2019.
