Codling one game away from promotion in France
The Oyo Men will meet Grenoble in Saturday’s final in Toulouse, with the winner of the 8.05pm kick-off earning promotion to France’s Top 14.
Oyonnax finished the regular season 24 points clear at the top ahead of second-placed Grenoble, and were 26-21 winners over Vannes in last weekend’s home semi-final.
Should Oyonnax lose in Saturday’s final they will have one more chance to earn promotion, with a one-leg play-off against the second-bottom team from the Top 14 taking place on Saturday June 3.
