COUNTY CUP SHOWCASES YOUNG TALENT
The under-6 and under-7s competition took place at Percy Park, while the under-8s and under-9s tournament was staged at Northern RFC and Ponteland RFC respectively.
After a long journey back from Gloucester the previous day, a string of Falcons players visited the various clubs chat with players and parents as well as posing for photos and signing autographs.
Alex Tait went to Rockliff, Grant Shiells and Sean Tomes visited Ponteland, Ryan Shortland popped into Northern and Kieran Brookes, David Nelson and Craig Willis paid Novos a visit.
Paul Walker of Ponteland said: “Many thanks to the community team for your support with Grant Shiells and Sean Tomes for doing a fantastic job with all the kids at Ponteland.
“The lads did a great job signing autographs on medals ribbons and their consideration watching games and chatting with the youngsters was much appreciated.”
