Back-rower Freddie Lockwood has received his December Player of the Month award from Newcastle Falcons’ Supporters’ Club after Friday’s game against Montpellier.

The 24-year-old has scored four tries in 16 games this season, with the award sponsored by The Busty Bakery.

Freddie received a bottle of fizz after starring during December, with his prize presented by Supporters’ Club member Jean Thornton on her 79th birthday.

Jean is a loyal and dedicated follower of the Falcons, who attended their recent European game in Pau.
