Falcon Hodge named as England apprentice
The 19-year-old scored a stunning solo try on his Newcastle Falcons debut during Sunday’s 36-10 victory over Yorkshire Carnegie, a result which put his side nine points clear at the top of the Greene King IPA Championship.
The former Sedbergh School pupil can play at full-back or wing, and was the top points scorer at last year’s Under-20s World Cup in Argentina.
He will now form part of the group convening at Pennyhill Park on Wednesday ahead of their training camp in Portugal, with Northampton’s Alex Mitchell the other apprentice player to be called up.
