Newcastle Falcons players and staff will visit Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary on Friday as they look to spread festive cheer amongst young patients and staff, with the kind financial support of Blackett Walker Independent Financial Advisers.

With just over two weeks to go until Christmas, members of the Newcastle Falcons squad and staff will spend the afternoon handing out gifts to the children they meet and spending time with the staff on the wards.

It is a gesture that the players and staff at the club are happy to make, with Head of Community and Marketing at Newcastle Falcons Melanie Magee highlighting it’s importance.

She said: “Christmas hospital visits are an important part of our calendar at the club. The players really enjoy spending time with the children and it’s a great feeling to be able to spread some cheer at this time of year amongst the patients as well as the staff who do such a fantastic job for both the children and parents they work with.

“The hospitals we visit are always incredibly accommodating and I’d like to thank everyone who will giving up time and help on Friday to show us around.”
