Fusion for Business, trusted champions of the energy market, are delighted to announce their partnership with the Newcastle Rugby Foundation’s Falcons Club Connections in pursuit of enhancing the support given to local sports clubs.

The Club Connections mission is simple. They are committed to supporting community rugby clubs with a variety of elements, both on and off the pitch. To date, Club Connections have over 60 clubs within their network, spanning the breadth of the North East.

As a result of the new partnership, Durham-based energy solutions provider FFB will take the lead in offering the 60+ community clubs within the Club Connections scheme an opportunity to become more energy efficient through a range of cost and carbon saving hacks, alongside boosting the longevity of the clubs through a unique and unrivalled Community Ambassador programme.

The FFB Community Ambassador programme is committed to helping clubs create a new recurring revenue stream to combat financial shortfalls experienced as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The income generated by the clubs through the Community Ambassador programme can facilitate the funding of any necessary clubhouse or ground improvements.

By identifying a new way to bring money back into clubs, FFB and the Club Connections aim to bring more people back into clubs through their partnership, injecting a new ‘energy’ and sense of belonging for rugby in the region.

Gavin Beasley, community development manager at Newcastle Rugby Foundation said: “The success in our partnership with FFB is through longevity. We want to help our community sports clubs grow and continue in the great work they do for the local communities they serve, and FFB share this vision to help the clubs grow and save them money to reinvest elsewhere.

“We are excited about seeing where this partnership will go and thankful to FFB for their fantastic support.”

Graham Robson, head of the FFB Community Ambassador Programme, added: “We are equally committed to supporting local sports clubs, so partnering with the Club Connections was a no-brainer.

“As part of the IEM Global Group, FFB is here to change perceptions of the energy market, championing an honest and innovative approach to energy management. All cost savings that we identify for clubs are backed by an insurance guarantee to ensure that 100% of forecasted cost savings are achieved. However, for us, this partnership is about more than just helping clubs to save money.

“Our priority is to bring communities together by creating new opportunities and long-lasting benefits that provide a more sustainable future for all.”

The initial partnership will run throughout the upcoming 2021/22 season, with the new dual-branded kit set to launch later this summer as part the Club Connections. However, both parties have already expressed a desire to collaborate long-term.
