Summer residential camp returns this
The Falcons Community Foundation’s ever-popular Barnard Castle Residential Camp will return this summer with a fantastic schedule of intensive rugby training for the aspiring rugby star.
Being hosted by Barnard Castle School for an eleventh consecutive year, the camp is a great opportunity for experienced rugby players to hone their skills over the week-long residential camp at one of the UK’s top rugby schools.
Throughout the week, the participants will receive over five hours of coaching per day, including visits from the Newcastle Falcons Community Department, academy coaching staff, as well as guest coaching from the Newcastle Falcons First team members.
Other members of the backroom team will be on hand to give the youngsters hints and tips on the reality of professional sporting life and how to make it to the top in the rugby world.
Along with a focus on CARDS skills (CREATIVITY, AWARENESS, RESILIENCE, DECISION MAKING, and SELF ORGANISATION), the camp will also include position specific coaching, game management, strength and conditioning and other aspects of the professional rugby player.
The camp culminates in games day on Friday with teams put together across the age groups and a chance to show off your skills to parents.
With a real focus on the game, this camp is recommended for experienced and enthusiastic rugby players
The camp runs from Monday 13th August until Friday 17th August 2018 and includes three meals per day plus supper alongside the Falcons Community Foundation coaching staff for just £295 for the week.
2017 saw a record number of participants take part in the camp as an exclusive offering by Newcastle Falcons, so book on quickly to avoid disappointment.
