Club hails fantastic support from fans

Tuesday 14 October 2014

Newcastle Falcons would like to thank all of those fans who made the trip to Oxford last Saturday to watch the Falcons win their second Aviva Premiership game in a row.

Last Saturday saw over 50 fans make the journey to the Kassam Stadium to watch Newcastle Falcons take on London Welsh in the Aviva Premiership.

With fans travelling on the club and Supporters Club’s official supporter coach as well as in their own vehicles, the team were buoyed on by the vocal support from the loyal band of travelling supporters.

Falcons player Andy Saull tweeted: “I’ve not heard away support that vocal in a long time, the Falcons supporters were on form today!”

Meanwhile Managing Director Mick Hogan said: “The home crowd made a huge difference to everyone at the club – particularly, of course, the players – against Exeter last weekend and it was great to see our supporters out in force again on the road this time at London Welsh.

“We would like to thank everyone who made the journey down to Oxford, and to our supporters club, who were instrumental in organising a large coach trip to the game and in giving the team their full support.”

Although the Falcons’ Supporters Club have been forced to cancel their planned away trip to Bath 15th November, the club are currently investigating alternative options for group travel. To register your interest for any potential trip please email tickets2@newcastle-falcons.co.uk.
