The Falcons Community Foundation's Under 10s festival being held before the game against Harlequins is now at full capacity.
The Falcons Community Foundation has yet another success to report as this month’s Under 10s capacity reaches full capacity.
The festival, which will take place on Sunday 31st January ahead of the Falcons’ Aviva Premiership game against Harlequins, will be held on the Kingston Park Stadium main field and surrounding grassed areas.
This is the third of the Foundation’s match day events to hit full capacity this season, after they welcomed sixty teams to the Under 7s and 8s event at the Falcons’ game against Exeter.
Next month, Kingston Park Stadium preparing to host the biggest ever Land Rover Cup competition as seventy Under 11s and 12s teams arrive in Newcastle with hopes of playing at Twickenham Stadium this Summer.
The Under 10s festival being held later this month will involve fifty teams from Northumberland, Cumbria, Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, the festival offers youngsters the opportunity to play against teams from other counties.
Each festival participant will also receive a ticket to the Falcons’ game against Harlequins later that day, as well as an opportunity to parade around the Kingston Park Stadium pre-match and the chance to show their skills in front of the stadium crowd in a half time celebration game.
Although a number of Falcons Community Foundation junior rugby festivals are already at full capacity there are still spaces available during the remainder of the season.
This includes the Under 9s festival originally scheduled prior to the Saracens game on 6th December. Although that event was originally filled to capacity, the effects of Storm Desmond forced many competitors to pull out.
Consequently a second Under 9s event will now be held on 27th March, prior to the Falcons match vs Wasps.
