Falcons A Team prepare to face Leicester

Monday 8 September 2014

Following the first XV’s steely performance on Sunday, the Falcons A Team will be looking to settle a score as they travel to Leicester this evening.

Monday night footy is back with the Falcons A team looking to avenge the first team’s defeat at Welford Road on Saturday with an exciting and ambitious team taking the field.

In the Front Row Rob Hawkins captains the side in his first return against his former club while Andy Saull returns to Welford Road after his try-scoring cameo appearance in Saturday’s game.

In the backline Andy Davies returns at Scrum Half from Championship side Rotherham Titans where he is dual registered and Anitelea Tuilagi gets his first start in a Falcons jersey pairing up with Jamie Helleur in the Centres.

The bench sees some familiar names alongside a number of new faces, with Newcastle University Captain Ian Billington getting his chance along with Northumbria University Prop Jake Ellwood and Darlington Mowden Park Back Row signing Conran Gleeson.

Newcastle Falcons A take on Leicester A tonight at Welford Road in a match kicking off at 7pm. Keep an eye on the @FalconsRugby Twitter feed for live match updates.
