Falcons Donate Shirts To Tongan Village

Tuesday 20 November 2012

The Newcastle Falcons brand has spread to the other side of the world, after the club donated old playing jerseys to a village team in Vavau, Tonga.

Falcons centre Tane Tu’ipulotu was instrumental in the donation of the shirts to a nation that is passionate about its rugby.

The Tongan national team visited Newcastle last week, with the Falcons running out 24-13 winners in a pulsating encounter.

After recording 12 wins out of 12 for the season, including last week’s victory over the Pacific Islanders, the Falcons travel to Jersey this Saturday aiming to notch up their thirteenth straight win.
