Falcons Link With Royal Regiment Of Fusilliers To Pay Tribute To Our Troops

Thursday 8 November 2012

Newcastle Falcons are proud to welcome the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers to Kingston Park this month as we mark Remembrance Day and pay tribute to our troops both past and present.

The club works closely with the regiment throughout the season, providing them with a number of complementary season tickets. These tickets enable past and present servicemen and women to attend rugby games at Kingston Park, and are our way of recognising the selfless service of those individuals.

On Friday 9 November Newcastle Falcons will extend a particular welcome to the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers for the team’s game against Nottingham. That game will see a bugler from the regiment take to the pitch at Kingston Park and play The Last Post, before all guests are asked to join Newcastle Falcons players and staff as we observe a minute’s silence prior to kick off.

Falcons executive director Paul Varley said: “It is an honour to bring the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers to Kingston Park, and to do our small bit to repay their dedication and bravery. We are always proud to have current and past service people join us and we look forward to paying our respects to both past and present service people before the game on Friday night.”

Tickets for the Nottingham game are still available. You can buy yours here or contact our ticket office on 0871 2266060.
