Newcastle Falcons players brought some festive cheer to children on the children’s wards at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Sunderland Royal Hospital yesterday.
Stars including Italian international Carlo del Fava, former England Saxon Adam Powell and Shieldsman James Fitzpatrick gave patients a bedside boost, handing out selection boxes and a range of gifts kindly donated by Blackett Walker and BW Medical Accountants Ltd.
Head of medical services for BW Medical Accountants Ltd, Keith Taylor said: “We are proud to be sponsoring this great initiative for the second year running and hope our donation can spread some Christmas cheer for the children at local hospitals.”
The club has undertaken the Christmas hospital visits for more than ten years, and the tradition is set to continue. A big thank you to Blackett Walker and BW Medical for their donation, and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for their help with the afternoon.
Tickets are still available for the Falcons’ next home Aviva Premiership match against London Wasps on Friday 27 December by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060 or click here to purchase online.
