Newcastle Falcons chairman Semore Kurdi and a pair of former front-row stalwarts are among those raising funds for the Newcastle Rugby Foundation by doing the Great North Run.
Kurdi will join the thousands of participants completing the half-marathon course from Newcastle to South Shields on Sunday September 8.
Joining him are former Falcons front-row centurions Rob Vickers and Matt Thompson, with Rebecca Thompson, Anya Polyakova and Catherine Beasley also running for the foundation.

Kurdi said: "I'm certainly no athlete so this is quite an undertaking, but it's for a great cause.
"Hopefully we can generate some funds and awareness to support the outstanding work that the Newcastle Rugby Foundation does, and if you are able to sponsor us it will make the pain feel more bearable on the day!"
