Ally Hogg was named man-of-the-match as his Scotland ‘A’ side drew 16-16 with England Saxons at Scotstoun on Friday night.
The Newcastle Falcons back-row, 31, who went up against club teammates Scott Wilson and Kieran Brookes in the pack, had a solid outing for his country.
Falcons academy product Wilson, 19, played 75 minutes of the contest before being replaced by Brookes.
Wilson was instrumental in earning England a penalty try just before the break with his power at the scrum. Leading at half-time, England’s lead was overturned when Byron McGuigan crossed for a try before Tom Heathcote’s penalty salvaged a draw.
