How you can benefit from the Newcastle Rugby Foundation

Tuesday 1 September 2020

Newcastle Rugby Foundation are looking forward to getting back to delivering activities in all of our fantastic schools, and wanted to give you an update on what you can expect from us.

We have been busy planning our return to work safely, and can’t wait to get back to seeing you all.

We have a number of available options and programmes including rugby union and rugby league coaching, multi-sports, classroom-based programmes covering topics using rugby to bring learning to life, health, literacy, numeracy, resilience, mental wellbeing, employability and much more!

In addition to our outreach programmes, most of our offers included teacher CPD, festival entries and visits to Kingston Park to watch Newcastle Falcons or Newcastle Thunder when government guidance allows, and even a chance to play on the pitch or make up the guard of honour!

All of our coaches are qualified with a minimum of:

  • Enhanced DBS.

  • RFU/RFL Level 2 coaching award.

  • Emergency first aid.

  • Premiership Rugby level 3 safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

We know that each school has different needs, and would like to encourage any interested schools to get in touch so we can discuss the package which best suits your organisation.

As a Charity, many of our programmes are partially or fully funded, and every enquiry will also be entered into our prize draw for five FREE tag-rugby coaching sessions.

So, what are you waiting for?

Please email darren.greco@newcastle-falcons.co.uk for further information, or to book rugby coaching at your school.
