Last night Kingston Park played host to the final week in the Summer of Touch League that has been on-going for eight weeks.
This year saw many returning teams staking their claim for victory, but also an increase in newly formed touch teams joining in the fun.
The twenty team league played their final games competing for the Cup, Shield, Plate and Bowl. Despite the hot weather some fantastic games were played with Meritless emerging victorious and winning the Cup closely contested by the succinctly named Blue bibs sometimes green bibs but mainly blue bibs.
Northern monkeys took home the Shield followed by Touch the Left One taking home the Plate. Accenture Try-ers were our final winners with the Bowl and all teams were invited into the hospitality suite at Kingston Park for post-game food and presentation of awards.
Jamie Helleur and James Fitzpatrick were on hand to present the winners with their trophies and the teams enjoyed a well-deserved meal and drinks reception.
Congratulations to all those involved in a fantastic season of touch rugby! We hope to see you & more back for the remaining fixtures in our Summer of Touch calendar:
