Zach Kibirige starts for England Under-20s to face Scotland in the Six Nations at Netherdale this Friday (kick-off 7.30pm).
The 19-year-old winger featured in last week’s narrow 21-15 defeat at France and has another chance to impress England head coach Nick Walshe.
Making six appearances for the Falcons this campaign, the former Yarm School pupil has made quite an impression for Dean Richards’ men.
Academy manager Mark Laycock, who has overseen Kibirige’s development said: “Zach is extremely professional and prepares himself well week in, week out.
“He’s been playing very well at Blaydon this season and hopefully we’ll see him cross the whitewash on a few more occasions between now and the end of the season.”
