Newcastle Falcons lock-forward Scott MacLeod scooped three awards at the club’s end of season awards ceremony held after Sunday’s RFU Championship play-off semi-final victory over Leeds Carnegie at Kingston Park.
The Hawick-born powerhouse, who joined the Falcons last summer following a year-long spell with Japanese side Kobe Steelers, picked up the Player of the Season, Players Player of the Season and Supporters Club Player of the Season awards to round off an impressive season for the 23-times capped Scotland international.
Fellow forward Mark Wilson collected two accolades, the Ken Lockerbie Trophy and the Try of the Season award which was earned for his touchdown during the 24-13 win against Tonga back in November.
Meanwhile exciting prospect Zach Kibirige won the Falcons Academy Player of the Season with Joel Hodgson picking up the Supporters Club Emerging Player Award.
Tane Tu’ipulotu was named the Falcons Community Player Contribution Award winner and Cellular Solutions were the beneficiaries of the Falcons Community Partner Award.
Melanie Magee and Ceryn Rowntree were the Club Woman of the Season and Supporters Club Unsung Hero of the Season respectively.
