Nagusa involved in Fiji triumph

Monday 15 July 2019

Newcastle Falcons back-rower Nemani Nagusa was on the bench for Fiji on Saturday as they defeated the New Zealand Maori All Blacks in Suva.

The 27-10 triumph in the Fijian capital brought only the Maori's second defeat in 16 years, continuing Fiji's Rugby World Cup preparations.

Falcons centre Josh Matavesi was also part of the Fiji squad leading up to the game, and both players have been retained in the group for this coming Saturday's re-match in Rotorua.

Other Newcastle Falcons players involved in Rugby World Cup training squads are Sonatane Takulua and Cooper Vuna (Tonga), Greg Peterson (USA), Logovi'i Mulipola (Samoa), Mark Wilson (England) and Gary Graham (Scotland).
