"This has culminated in Newcastle Falcons, alongside Ramside Event Catering, winning the tender for the Official Rugby World Cup Fanzone in Newcastle later this year. It will be the biggest event we have ever undertaken away from Kingston Park Stadium and I’m sure that with the continued support of Bidvest Foodservice it will be a massive success.”

Newcastle Thunder Managing Director Keith Christie added: “To have such an impressive international name such as Bidvest Foodservice associated with the Thunder in our first year based in Newcastle is a real coup for the club. They have really bought in to the vision of what we are trying to achieve for rugby league in the north east. We are delighted to welcome them as an Official Partner of Newcastle Thunder.”

Norman Wemyss, Managing Director (North) of Bidvest Foodservice commented: “Especially in a Rugby World Cup year, we at Bidvest Foodservice are delighted to reinforce our existing fantastic relationship with Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle Thunder.
