Newcastle V Bucharest Team News

Wednesday 15 January 2014

Newcastle Falcons have made nine changes for tomorrow’s Round 6 Pool 3 Amlin Challenge Cup contest with Bucharest Wolves at Kingston Park (kick-off 7.30pm).

With teenage talent Zach Kibirige away on England Under-20s duty, Tom Catterick moves to the wing while Noah Cato gets the nod at full-back. Alex Crockett comes in at outside centre with Chris Pilgrim and Rory Clegg starting at scrum-half and fly-half respectively.

In the pack there are also starts for hooker George McGuigan and tighthead prop Oliver Tomaszczyk with second-row Fraser McKenzie and back-rowers Andy Saull and Mark Wilson the three other changes.

Last week’s defeat at home to Brive all but knocked the Falcons out of the European picture, with the Kingston Park club now relying on Italian side Calvisano to do them a favour in order to progress through to the quarter-finals.

Tickets are still available by calling the Falcons Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060 or click here to purchase online.
