The future of North East and Cumbrian rugby is in safe hands judging by the fantastic turn-out for our match-day festival on Sunday.
A total of 30 Under-9s teams descended on Kingston Park Stadium prior to the Falcons' Championship victory over Coventry.
Every team played on the main pitch, with three clubs staying on to be mascots for the first team game and to play in front of the crowd at half-time.
The three were Percy Park, Upper Eden and Wallsend (pictured), with the next under-9s festival scheduled for December 14, the day Newcastle play Jersey in the Championship Cup.
