Newcastle Falcons' Marcus Watson continued to state a strong case for Olympic inclusion by forming part of the GB Lions team which won last weekend's Sevens and the City tournament.
The event at Saracens' Allianz Park saw Team GB entering two sides, the GB Royals and Watson's Lions.
The two teams met in the final, the Lions winning 27-14 after progressing through a group which pitted them against Samurai, Barbados and Wales.
The Lions and Royals will again be in action when they compete in the European GP 7s this weekend at Exeter's Sandy Park, before the final 12-man squad for Rio is announced on July 19.
Rugby sevens makes its Olympic debut in Brazil between August 6-11. Team GB have been drawn in a group with New Zealand, Kenya and Japan.
