Tonga visit Kingston Park as part of a four match autumn tour which sees the Pacific Islanders lock horns with Italy, USA and Scotland.

Aviva Premiership stars Soane Tonga’uiha, Stefan Mafi and Fetu’u Vainikolo as well as former Falcon Josh Afu will all be strutting their stuff under the lights of Kingston Park. Not only that, current Falcons flyer Suka Hufanga will come up against his club teammates, making for an exciting spectacle.

The squad are currently in the south of France ahead of their autumn series under the stewardship of head coach Mana Otai.

Tonga have recently snapped up prominent international coaches Tim Lane, Dave Ellis and Mark Bakewell to get the Islanders up to speed in the build-up to the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

The three will work as assistants to Otai on two-year contracts which are open for extension following the World Cup.

Falling just short of making the play-offs in last year’s World Cup when they beat eventual finalists France 19-14, Tonga will be a tough proposition for the northeasterners.

Ellis was then the defence coach for France who were narrowly beaten by the All Blacks 8-7 in the final.

Lane, a former Australia international, served as assistant coach for the Wallabies then the Springboks before taking over as head coach of Georgia, while Bakewell was head coach of Bath before moving to the Melbourne Rebels.

“It's great because people see the potential in Tongan rugby and they want to join, and we are very lucky,” said Tonga Rugby Union's high performance manager Peter Harding.

Tickets are available for both the Nottingham and Tonga games by clicking here or call the Falcons Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060.
