Dean Richards spoke of his disappointment following Sunday’s Aviva Premiership defeat to Worcester Warriors at Kingston Park.
Josh Drauniniu scored the decisive try with 10 minutes remaining to help the Warriors to a 17-12 victory on Tyneside.
“It wasn’t a great game in any way shape or form,” said Richards.
“It was a bit of a lucky try that sealed it with a missed tackle down our right-hand side and it could have happened both ways to be honest.
“We had opportunities to score, didn’t take them and they had two opportunities and took one of them,” he added.
The Falcons now turn their attention to the trip to London Irish on Sunday 13 April, while Worcester host Exeter Chiefs the same weekend.
