Pepper shortlisted for Premiership Rugby award

Newcastle Falcons’ Guy Pepper has been nominated for Breakthrough Player of the Season, presented by Defender at this year’s Premiership Rugby Awards.

The 21-year-old featured 18 times for the Falcons throughout all competitions in 2023/24, scoring two tries.

Pepper also set a joint all-time Premiership record for the most amount of tackles in a single game, completing 34 against Saracens in Round 10.

Harrogate born, Pepper was also recently announced at the club’s player and players’ player of the season.

The winner will be announced at the Premiership Rugby Awards ceremony on Wednesday May 22.
