**BRIDON-BEKAERT THE ROPES GROUP**

Bridon-Bekaert The Ropes Group have a history dating back to 1789, and are based in Willington Quay, Wallsend – home of Newcastle Falcons’ own Micky Ward. They specialise in steel-wire and fibre ropes for many sectors, such as mining, oil and gas, heavy lifting, crane and elevator and fishing, to name just a few!

They opened their new flagship factory on the banks of the river Tyne in Walker in 2012. Bekaert took full ownership of Bridon in 2016 and have over 27,000 employees worldwide. Over 30% of all tyres in the world are reinforced with Bekaert products.

Commenting on their relationship with the Falcons, Chris McDine of Bridon said: “Newcastle Falcons is a great club and it has been a pleasure to watch them over the years, with some huge international stars representing us, mixed in with some fantastic local talent. They do great work in the local community which I’ve witnessed first hand, and the look on the kids’ faces seeing their Falcons heroes is priceless!”

Bridon-Bekaert The Ropes Group are currently in their second season of sponsoring the Falcons’ former England Under-20s Hooker Jamie Blamire, who has made 36 appearances and scored 9 tries for the club.

**GAP GROUP NORTH EAST**

GAP Group North East is a family-run business, based in Gateshead, operating in four very distinct areas of business:

GAP Haulage – offering local and national haulage solutions.

GAP Waste – offering national electrical waste collection and processing services.

GAP Organics – offering food waste and organic waste collections and processing.

GAP ICE – National fridge and cooling recycling and disposal.

Over the past five years they have invested more than £8m in recycling infrastructure which has helped Gateshead to be one of the largest and best-equipped electrical waste processor in the UK. They have over 100 members of staff working out of their Gateshead depot.

Commenting on their relationship with Newcastle Falcons, director Peter Moody said: “The senior management team have been supporters of the Falcons since their inception, however, from a corporate level GAP have been involved with the club for more then a decade. Although cups and championships have been few and far between, I honestly believe the club is unique in the place it holds within the North East community.”

Gap Group currently sponsors Falcons captain and England back row Mark Wilson, who they have sponsored for several years. Gap Group also sponsored fly-half Brett Connon during the Falcons’ 2019/20 season in the RFU Championship.

**ROMAN SHOWERS**

Roman is the UK’s and Europe’s largest manufacturer of shower enclosures, bath screens and solid surface moulding and fabrication. Based in Newton Aycliffe, Roman supplies to retailers, housebuilders, international hotel groups and cruise ships all over the world. They are a design and capability driven manufacturing business now supplying over 60 countries.

CEO, David Osborne, has been involved in rugby all his life as a player, father and coach. David commented: “At Roman we really value being involved with the Falcons and supporting our elite local team. Obviously we gain exposure, but it’s more about finding ways to be involved.”

Roman Showers are currently sponsoring South African scrum-half Louis Schreuder, having sponsored Sam Stuart and Toby Salmon during the 2019/20 RFU Championship campaign.
