Bryan joined Newcastle Falcons in the summer of 2023 from Bristol Bears, where he played 44 games and scored 12 tries in his three and a half seasons.
Born and raised in Ireland, where he played international rugby at Under-18s, 19s and 20s levels, Bryan came through the academy system at Leinster.
Hailing from the town of Carlow, an hour away from Dublin, Bryan started playing mini rugby for Carlow Under-7s through to Under-12s, at which point he went to boarding school at Clongowes Wood College, from where he joined the Leinster Academy.
One of five brothers, Bryan is the twin of Ed, the former Leinster and Ireland prop who now plays for Cardiff, and Bryan enjoyed playing Gaelic football in the summer and rugby in the winter.
Going on to play for Leinster at senior level, the hooker played 47 times in his five and a half seasons there, during which time they won the Pro 14 title, Heineken Champions Cup and British & Irish Cup.
His first season with the Falcons saw him making his debut away to Ampthill in the Premiership Rugby Cup in September 2023, going on to score two tries in 19 appearances during the 2023-24 season.
