John Hawkins joined Newcastle Falcons in October 2023 from Jersey Reds.

Born in Bedfordshire, the lock-forward was in Northampton Saints’ academy until the age of 18, at which point he joined Bristol Bears.

Making 47 first-team appearances for Bristol, he joined RFU Championship winners Jersey in the summer of 2023 before moving four months later due to their financial issues.

His first season with the Falcons saw him featuring at both lock and blind-side flanker during the 2023-24 campaign, making 13 appearances.
