Sammy Arnold joined Newcastle Falcons in the summer of 2024 from French club, Brive.
Born in England, Sammy moved to Ireland as a teenager to pursue his rugby dream, making his senior debut for Ulster at the age of just 18 and starring for Ireland Under-20s.
Moving to Munster, the hard-running midfield became a favourite at Thomond Park for his uncompromising playing style, scoring eight tries in 45 games and starting a Champions Cup semi-final for the Munstermen.
Earning his Ireland cap in 2018 against the USA, Arnold switched provinces and scored eight tries in his 38 games for Connacht before heading over to France.
His maiden season in the Top 14 with Brive saw him featuring 14 times, and at the end of his second campaign in the Correze region he had scored five tries in 27 outings for Les Brivistes before heading to Newcastle.
