Ward Confirmed For Legends Game
The latest name to be confirmed for the Falcons’ XV at the club’s upcoming Legends match is none other than club Scrum Coach Micky Ward.
Ward, who joined the Falcons in 2002 after playing his club rugby with Wallsend, made over 200 appearances for the club before retiring in 2011 and moving to the back room as Scrum Coach while also coaching National League One side Blaydon.
His testimonial game, held late in the 2010/11 season featured a Falcons Past & Present XV, including a number of the players due to take part in the upcoming Legends game.
Ward joins a number of other Falcons Legends including Hugh Vyvyan, Tom May, Carlo del Fava, Michael Stephenson, Epi Taione and Marius Hurta for the game, as well as Southern Hemisphere legends such as Stefan Terblanche and Andre Snyman.
The game will take place on the evening of Friday 2nd October with tickets available to order now online, in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Box Office or by calling the Falcons’ 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060 starting from just £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.
